The rapids of the Drowned, Fort Smith.
The rapids of the drowned are one of my favourite places in Fort Smith. it is an easily accessible place and with the river changing everyday, there are always some surprises waiting for you. This morning, the light was leaking through the clouds, carving some shadows on the sand, and some golden reflection were dancing on the polished rocks. Pelicans were slowly waking up, a flock of geese flew over the river, everything was quite and peaceful.
Ode to spring

Pelican Rapids, Fort Smith, NT
Pelican rapids are one of the most impressive rapids on the Desnedé, the Slave river. If you seat for few minutes on the banks you can feel all the power of the water raging all over the rocks. This WE the colours of the falls and the lovely morning light gave a lovely tint to the land. Music by Elisapie Isaac.
